is a pre-recorded webinar and handouts designed to help home visitors and providers in Family Support and Early Intervention programs to: 
– better understand general housing information and definitions,
– know what types of income-based housing options exist, and 
– learn more about best practices when appealing and applying

Prepared Renter Education Program (PREP) Implementation Lunch ‘n Learn on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  

The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) and Self-Determination Housing of Pennsylvania, are pleased to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about how to implement a housing program for low-income individuals and those with disabilities in your community.  Please join us for Prepared Renter Education Program (PREP) Implementation Lunch ‘n Learn on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  

Title:  PREP Implementation Lunch ‘n Learn

Topic:  Join us to learn how to set up PREP in your community.  PREP is a training that discusses the intricacies of housing from beginning to end, touching on locating, obtaining, and maintain housing.  You’ll also be able to hear from panelists across the state who have successfully established a PREP training in their community.  Whether you’ve attended SDHP’s PREP Train the Trainer or not, you are invited to come and learn how to begin the process of implementation.  It is recommended that you review the PREP Curriculum and materials prior to attending the January 26^th session.  You can find the materials at www.pa-home-visiting.org/housing/

The PREP webinars were held in October and November of 2020.  The webinars focused on strategies to assist families in securing affordable and/or accessible housing.  

The PREP materials below include: 
– The PREP Manual, include the Appendices and Worksheets that were discussed during the webinar, 
– Packets of regional resources for each Pennsylvania region; and 
– Slides from the webinar session.
