Webinar security: In order to ensure that the webinar series is safe for all participants, a number of security measures will be used. When you enter the Zoom meeting, you’ll be placed in a waiting room until the host admits you. Please join the session at least 10 minutes prior to the start time in order to allow time for the waiting room process. Once you join the webinar, your camera will be turned off and your microphone will be muted.
Zoom: When you enter the Zoom meeting, you will be placed in a waiting room. The waiting room is designed to ensure that only the people who should attend the meeting are allowed into the meeting. The meeting host will move you from the waiting room to the meeting. This process may take a few minutes.
If your device is not labeled with your name and program, you will be asked to update it once you have entered the Zoom room. Directions will be provided when you join the meeting.
Please plan to join the meeting 10 -15 minutes before the start time. This will allow you to get through the waiting room and to test your computer connection.
Audio and visual quality are dependent on a number of different factors, including the internet signal at your site. Check your internet stability if possible. Close out all unnecessary computer applications to save bandwidth.
Your microphone and video camera will be turned off when you enter the meeting. This will ensure the best sound quality for you and all participants and will save bandwidth.
